KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Conduct thorough inspections to uphold the highest cleanliness standards across all guest rooms and public spaces, necessitating regular movement throughout the facility. It is essential to personally assess each room prior to guest check-in.

· Manage the recruitment process by interviewing, selecting, hiring, and, when necessary, terminating staff in accordance with company policies.

· Adapt to flexible scheduling and effectively communicate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

· In line with employee development initiatives, perform regular evaluations of staff performance, recognizing exceptional contributions while assisting in addressing areas for improvement.

· Develop and implement standards and procedures for the housekeeping team, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and franchise requirements.

· Ensure the Housekeeping Department operates within the approved annual budget, monitoring actual performance against financial targets and company benchmarks.

· Oversee the Lost and Found system, conducting monthly reviews of the log with upper management.

· Manage inventory, procurement, distribution, and cost control for all linens, cleaning materials, guest room supplies, restroom essentials, laundry items, safety equipment, and machinery.

· Possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel amenities, including all systems within guest rooms (e.g., telephone systems, internet access, entertainment options, and climate control).

· Provide daily discrepancy reports to the Front Office Manager.

· Always represent the hotel positively and maintain a welcoming demeanor.

· Conduct thorough inspections of VIP accommodations prior to arrival, ensuring all requested amenities are prepared and addressing any special requests from guests or other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior supervisory experience in housekeeping is essential.

Experience with Hilton properties is advantageous.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires continuous movement, including frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and relocating items. The role may involve lifting or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally and necessitates the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as lifting 20-30 pounds intermittently throughout the workday.
