Job Title: Category Specialist - Material Solutions Group

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Category Specialist to join our Material Solutions Group team. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining customers' needs, assessing market competition, and providing information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine customers' needs by obtaining market information and utilizing cross-functional teams as support.
  • Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses.
  • Facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and recommending inventory levels.
  • Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, and costing special and customized orders.
  • Complete operational requirements by working with management to assign employee assistance.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Develop dealer and individual sales training kits for crushing and screening lines, including competitive sell strategies.
  • Identify benefits to new offerings and assist with marketing communication.

Requirements:
  • Four (4) year college or university degree in technical or business field or equivalent experience required.
  • Must be energetic, highly motivated, and able to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and terminology.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally.
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate with others.
  • Must be able to work as a team member.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills are required.
  • Able to solve problems on a strategic and functional level.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, sales reports, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, groups of managers, associates, clients, and the general public.
