Position Overview

Atlas Immersion Academy is a dynamic and inclusive environment for dedicated Early Childhood Educators. We pride ourselves on being multi-lingual and multi-cultural, focusing on the safety and wellbeing of children.

We are seeking qualified Substitute Preschool Educators to provide support across our various school locations. The role involves working with children in our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms during weekdays. Preference will be given to candidates fluent in Spanish, French, or Mandarin, although all applicants are encouraged to apply. This position offers a flexible schedule, making it ideal for those seeking adaptability in their work hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide infant, toddler, or preschool-aged children through activities that foster intellectual and creative development.
  • Create a safe and enjoyable learning atmosphere.
  • Maintain consistency in daily schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with students and their families.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's growth and development.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all students at all times.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and positively influencing their lives.
  • Strong ability to establish rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Capability to lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Fluency or bilingual proficiency in French, Spanish, or Mandarin is preferred but not required.
  • A positive and patient attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation to various school locations.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry is preferred.
