Job Overview

The Advanced Practice Nurse will work collaboratively with a Breast Surgical Oncologist to manage care for Breast Cancer patients, as well as High risk and Benign patients. The primary focus of this role will be working in the outpatient clinic and interfacing in a multidisciplinary fashion with medical oncology, radiation oncology, and other medical specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Physician in the office, taking H and P, administering medications, performing physical exams, and participating in the flow of patients through the practice.
  • Assist the physicians with various procedures/surgeries and assist with coordinating the case of the patient.
  • Demonstrate an ability to organize and achieve quality performance in new routine.
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in coordinating aspects of patient care within a surgical health environment.
  • Effectively prioritize work assignments and demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Implement the policies and procedures of the practice.
  • Perform assessment and reassessment of the patient according to applicable department standards and identified tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Physician.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing required.
  • Registered Professional Nurse with current NJ state license.
  • CDS and DEA.
  • CPR certification.
  • NP Certification.
  • Three to five years of work experience as a professional nurse.
