Job Title: Inspector V

Join the Health and Human Services Commission as an Inspector V and contribute to ensuring the quality of care in Texas long-term care facilities and agencies.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inspector V to conduct on-site licensure inspections, complaint and incident investigations, and annual comprehensive surveys in facilities to determine compliance with certification and licensing health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Communicate effectively with facility staff and residents to provide information and resolve issues
  • Complete inspection reports detailing deficiencies and recommended remedies
  • Visit facilities to verify correction of previously cited regulatory violations
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of documents prepared by others
  • May testify at hearings or in court proceedings to provide information regarding policy and procedures
