Emergency Services Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities:
- Assume accountability for the planning, delegation, and coordination of nursing care for a designated group of patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize the nursing process and therapeutic communication to provide effective care.
Educational Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an emergency setting is required.
- Alternatively, 1 year of critical care nursing experience may be considered.
- Experience in medical acute care combined with recent emergency department training may also qualify.
- Certification as an Emergency Nurse (CEN) or completion of an emergency nursing training program is preferred.
Licensure and Certifications:
- RN licensure in California is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is also required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is necessary.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred, especially for those working with trauma patients.
- Successful completion of the Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test is required for new hires.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be achieved by the end of orientation and maintained annually.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to effectively motivate and lead teams.
Work Schedule: Night shift from 18:00 to 06:00.
Compensation: The hourly pay rate is competitive and based on relevant experience and licensure.
Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week.
