Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Claims Specialist to join our team at IAT Insurance Group. As an Aviation Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for handling moderately complex Aviation Hull claims covering the entire United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claim Investigation: Investigate on-scene accidents, verify and analyze applicable coverage for reported losses, and establish 24-hour contact with stakeholders.
  • Claim Handling: Handle moderate and high exposure claims, gather information, conduct interviews, and review reports and related bills.
  • Settlement Negotiation: Evaluate, negotiate, and authorize settlements with stakeholders within designated authority.
  • Vendor Management: Select, direct, and manage vendors and counsel, including approval of defense budgets.
  • Communication: Draft correspondence, including coverage disclaimers, reservation of rights, and liability denials, as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience handling aircraft and aviation liability claims.
  • Licenses: Adjuster's license required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to travel, and authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • License: A&P license, Repairman Cert, or Pilot license.
