We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underground Construction Technician to join our team at Charter Communications. As an Underground Construction Technician, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of our fiber optic network.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair underground infrastructure, including cables, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Work with a team to complete construction projects, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including street cutting and drilling, trenching, and excavating.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
- Travel to various locations to complete projects, working in a variety of weather conditions.
- 2-4 years of experience in OSP underground construction/maintenance.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of outside plant construction standards.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, initiative, communication, adaptability, and consistency.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Class A CDL (commercial driver's license).
- OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certification.
