We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Summit Workforce Staffing LLC in Brookfield, WI. This full-time position offers an estimated salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job SummaryThe Laboratory Technician will be responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results under the direct supervision of the Technical Supervisor. Key responsibilities include:
- Following laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, and reporting patient test results
- Final review and approval of Toxicology reports
- Preparing and managing critical Toxicology method materials such as master mixes
- Maintaining records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Requirements- An Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
- At least two years of experience conducting complex LC-MS/MS toxicology methods
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
