Overview

The Chemical Abuse Services Agency Inc seeks a seasoned professional to lead its multidisciplinary treatment team as an Assistant Program Director.

About the Role

This is a key position within our organization, responsible for overseeing counseling staff and facilitating program activities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervision and primary counselor duties, including screening and intake, client orientation, treatment plan development, crisis intervention, and group individual sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise counseling staff and participate in primary counselor duties to clients and their families
  • Lead treatment planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and agencies
  • Assume leadership duties in the absence of the Program Director

Requirements

  • Licensed by the State of Connecticut (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, and LMSW)
  • Three years of professional counseling experience or a combination of a degree in a related field and professional experience
  • Two years minimum supervisory experience
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish)
  • Evidence of knowledge of chemical dependency rehabilitation and self-help groups
  • Appreciation of culturally relevant treatment and commitment to such services
  • Will to set and work toward professional goals and develop multicultural competency
  • Driver's license and motor vehicle

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
