Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver - Class B to join our team at KI Lumber & Building Materials. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering materials to job sites, inspecting and maintaining your truck, and ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver materials to job sites and inspect your truck to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Report any shortages or claims to your supervisor and assist in loading and storing materials
  • Drive a truck with a capacity of more than three tons, with the possibility of driving a less experienced CDL or tractor trailer
  • Maintain a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License as required
  • Prepare DOT required log of time on duty and driving
  • Assist forklift operators when loading and deliver and unload materials to customers' satisfaction
  • Complete daily equipment pre-inspection and record all merchandise that is returned by truck
  • Follow guidelines established by the Department of Transportation and assist in maintaining good housekeeping in the yard and warehouse
  • Comply with all company policies and guidelines and safely and efficiently operate a truck-mounted forklift
  • Maintain the cleanliness of your truck and have a minimum of 6 months CDL experience, with basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Class B endorsement
  • Minimum 6 months CDL experience, with basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate a truck and follow guidelines established by the Department of Transportation
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
