We are the Correspondence Manager team, historically focused on delivering correspondence for credit card decisions. Our mission is evolving to extend our capabilities to various sectors within Capital One. The new architecture necessitates scaling our platform and introducing functionalities to manage different decision types. This is where your expertise comes into play. The ideal Product Manager will excel in both whitespace exploration and effective execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft a compelling product vision that provides significant business value and simplifies access for our internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and oversee product roadmaps and an agile operational framework in collaboration with technology teams that is efficient, transparent, and adaptable.
  • Foster strong relationships and feedback mechanisms with stakeholders across the organization who influence product strategy, technology, and customer experiences reliant on the platform's capabilities.
  • Transition seamlessly between strategic planning and implementation, collaborating with engineering, design, data science, and marketing teams to develop and launch innovative products and features. Continuously monitor and analyze product performance to identify improvement areas and growth opportunities.

General Areas of Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with top-tier software engineers to design and sustain new patterns and capabilities that redefine our correspondence delivery methods.
  • Execute critical high-visibility use cases for the platform.
  • Analyze consumer/client needs to inform a roadmap that generates value.
  • Evaluate technology resilience, performance, and security, prioritizing initiatives and adhering to service level agreements.
  • Communicate concerns, risks, and recommendations effectively; secure stakeholder buy-in; and share context for prioritization decisions.
  • Define acceptance criteria and test cases, partnering with relevant stakeholders to ensure holistic technology functionality.
  • Additionally, you will:
    • Contribute to enhancing the overall fulfillment experience and enablement of Capital One's platform ecosystem by leveraging insights from interconnected platforms and applications.
    • Develop hypotheses, create minimum viable products, and conduct pilots to assess product and feature viability.
    • Engage in thought leadership around platform development, integrating data, design, and technology to deliver meaningful business and customer value.
    • Collaborate with a broader team beyond the card platform organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital product management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile product management.
  • Experience in translating business strategy into consumer-facing digital products.

Compensation: This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
