POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sales Associate engages in various Selling and Customer Service tasks, which include warmly welcoming and assisting all customers in a timely and friendly manner, handling products with care, and providing valuable information and guidance to shoppers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Demonstrates a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant and efficient shopping experience for every customer.

Ensures a positive shopping atmosphere for all patrons.
Showcases products to customers effectively.
Restocks shelves according to Merchandising standards as needed.
Maintains expertise in product knowledge through continuous training.
Stays informed about promotional sales; ensures accurate pricing and signage.
Assists with the arrangement of seasonal merchandise.
Restocks items as necessary.
Keeps the work area organized, tidy, and well-supplied.
Adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures.

Delivers an outstanding experience for every customer by aiding them in their purchasing decisions by:
assessing and understanding customers' needs, making tailored product suggestions based on this evaluation, and promoting programs such as Membership options and In-Store Pickup.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education Required:
High School diploma or equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to perform calculations such as discounts and process transactions accurately.
Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with customers and colleagues.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale system.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Consistently stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
Occasionally climb or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
Consistently interact with others to exchange information.
Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools.
Occasionally drive motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds frequently, and occasionally lifting items up to 100 pounds or more (with assistance as needed).
Occasionally work in confined spaces.
Occasionally work in noisy environments.

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:
Completes tasks and responsibilities under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and innovative thinking. Chooses from limited options to resolve issues. Occasionally exercises independent judgment to complete assignments. Frequently makes recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
