Pickleball Instructor Job Description

We are seeking experienced Pickleball instructors to join our team at the Ocean Community YMCA. As a Pickleball instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and developing Pickleball programs for our members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Design and deliver high-quality Pickleball lessons, clinics, and drill sessions to improve participants' skills and knowledge.
  • Program Management: Oversee the development and implementation of Pickleball programs, including Intro to Pickleball sessions.
  • Court Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of our Pickleball courts to provide a safe and enjoyable playing experience for our members.
  • Leadership and Communication: Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and accountability in all interactions with members, staff, and volunteers.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with college coursework preferred.
  • Pickleball Expertise: Mastery of the game and ability to teach and share Pickleball with others.
  • Certifications: IPTPA Certified Teaching Professional or PRO Level PPR Certification.
  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience teaching Pickleball to youth and adults.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to direct programs and supervise volunteers and staff.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
  • Certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen Administration certification-American Red Cross Preferred.
