Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technician to join our team at Gundersen Health System. As a Neurodiagnostic Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for neurodiagnostic studies and performing procedures such as EEGs, EPs, NCSs, and EMGs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for neurodiagnostic studies and perform procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • Obtain thorough patient histories and provide education and support during testing procedures.
  • Work with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate services, provide consultation and education, and generate accurate reports for physicians.
  • Maintain accurate department documentation and archive patient testing records.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest knowledge and skills related to pattern recognition, medical and pharmacological conditions, and electrical safety.
Requirements
  • Post-high school education in a specialized field, such as Electroneurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic program accredited by CAAHEP.
  • 6 months of experience as an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician or Electrodiagnostic Technician.
  • Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (REEGT) or Registered Electrodiagnostic Technologist (REDT) certification within 2.5 years of hire date.
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Work Environment

This role is exposed to infectious diseases and requires working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent stooping, bending, reaching, and repetitive actions, as well as the ability to push and pull heavy equipment.
