Job Title: Psychometrician

At the Center for Applied Linguistics, we are seeking a highly skilled Psychometrician to join our team. As a Psychometrician, you will play a critical role in planning, conducting, and presenting psychometric and statistical analysis using classical test theory and the Rasch model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct psychometric analysis using Winsteps and Facets software, including analysis related to item quality, rater performance, DIF, reliability, and classification consistency.
  • Investigate and evaluate new approaches to conducting psychometric analysis.
  • Establish and monitor quality control procedures related to quantitative analysis, ensuring the reliability and integrity of results.
  • Provide guidance to professional researchers on proposal design and quantitative analytical approaches.
  • Attend assessment in psychometric conferences and maintain professional connections with individuals with specific quantitative expertise.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Educational Measurement, Psychometrics, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of education assessments, operational testing programs, computerized adaptive assessments, and creating replicable procedures for routine psychometric work.
  • Experience with statistical and psychometric software, including SPSS, Winsteps, Facets, R, and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with a diverse, multi-disciplinary professional team.
