Job Summary

JK Moving Services is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Residential Services to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering household goods in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Delivery: Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport and deliver household goods in loose or packaged form, supporting local or short-haul move projects as scheduled and assigned by dispatch.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect the truck for defects before and after trips and submit a report indicating the truck's condition. Maintain a clean, safe, and operating condition of assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Logistics and Operations: Manage workers in loading and unloading goods, material, and equipment. Maintain driver logs according to FMCSA regulations.
  • Customer Service: Act as a liaison with customer service reps, dispatch, and warehouse staff to meet the company's obligations to the client. Provide accurate and complete transactions on all paperwork, securing signatures, collection of payment, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Active Class A CDL License
  • Prior moving and storage or furniture delivery experience
  • Experience as a crew leader or supervisor
  • Must pass a DOT physical
  • 1+ years of experience driving with a commercial license
  • Capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
