The Repair Technician at Guitar Center is responsible for maintaining and repairing customer-owned instruments, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role requires servicing instruments with precision, handling warranty repairs, and managing store inventory. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, proactive, and possesses foundational product knowledge, contributing to the overall success of the store.

As a Repair Tech (Guitar), you will provide maintenance and repair services on customer-owned instruments and assist in maintaining specific store inventory, continually building and increasing business through excellent customer service and quality work.

  • Customer Focus: Understands customer service principles and provides an excellent customer experience. Is approachable, genuine, knowledgeable, encouraging, passionate, and committed to helping customers.
  • Initiative: Identifies opportunities and issues and follows through on work activities to capitalize or resolve them. Develops knowledge and skills, including product, store operations, sales, and leadership.
  • Selling: Works through GC certification program to gain a base understanding of products and sales techniques.
  • Training: Effectively trains learners and communicates information and techniques so that they are retained.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Service customer-owned instruments with high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Maintain store-owned gear as requested.
  • Complete warranty repair work.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements and Preferences

  • Skilled understanding of repairing guitars.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
