Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Runnings. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading the merchandising and sales efforts within our Farm/Pet department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Merchandising and Sales: Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products, set priorities for distribution of new merchandise, and ensure adequate inventory in all areas of the assigned department.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with purchases and provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Team Management: Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma preferred.
  • Experience: Customer Service training and/or experience preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting.
Working Environment:

The Department Manager will work in a retail store environment and will be required to work an irregular schedule, including days, nights, and alternating weekends.
