Job Description

**Clinical Faculty Member**

The Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine (OCOM) is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Faculty Member to join our preclinical Medical College team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in the education and development of our students.

Responsibilities
  • **Serve as a Facilitator**: You will work closely with students in case-based learning, clinical skills, OSCE, simulation, and learning consolidation courses.
  • **Develop and Direct Student-Directed Learning**: You will design and implement student-directed learning experiences and course materials, working closely with the Department and Course Directors.
  • **Teaching and Academic Activities**: You will teach medical students, perform scholarly activities, and contribute to the academic activities of the Department.
  • **Collaboration and Teamwork**: You will work collaboratively with OCOM support staff, faculty, and students to achieve our educational goals.
  • **Student Support**: You will serve as a student advisor, participate in student interviews, and provide mentoring and coaching to students.
  • **Communication and Interpersonal Skills**: You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Requirements
  • **Education**: You must have a DO or MD degree, with active Board Certification through AOA or ABMS.
  • **Experience**: You should have a strong background in preclinical medical education, with experience in academic settings and/or health delivery.
  • **Skills**: You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
