Reliability and Safety Expert for Aerospace Systems

About the RoleThis exciting opportunity is part of our efforts to design and develop cutting-edge products for aerospace and military weapon systems, including missiles, guided rockets, smart munitions, and more.
The Sr. Reliability and Safety Engineer will play a crucial role in system safety assessment, reliability predictions, and failure mode analyses required for new development programs.

Main Responsibilities- Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to identify safety-critical items, non-conformances, and propose design alternatives.
- Generate reliability, maintainability, and system safety reports for IPTs and customer review.
- Conduct system safety analyses per MIL-STD-882 and SAE ARP4761 standards.
- Perform Maintainability analyses per MIL-STD-470 guidelines.
- Carry out reliability predictions per MIL-HDBK-217 methodologies.
- Review customer reliability, safety, and maintainability requirements and provide Root Cause analysis.
The ideal candidate should be able to balance cost, technical, schedule, and risk considerations while ensuring the highest level of quality and performance.
About You- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the aerospace industry, focusing on Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety engineering analysis.
- New Product Development experience in aerospace/military industries.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Electromechanical design and testing experience is a plus.
- Strong documentation and writing skills are essential.
- Familiarity with reliability analysis tools like Relex, Weibull++, and Reliasoft XFRACAS.
- Ability to work closely with a team of engineers and technicians.
- A US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
