About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Henderson. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our donation center and providing exceptional customer service to our donors and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod, ensuring a safe and organized environment for donors and staff.
  • Assist donors in receiving and processing donations, providing receipts and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Separate and sort donations into designated containers, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Collaborate with TSA PA/Drivers to load donations onto trucks, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Inform supervisors of needed supplies and materials to maintain optimal operations.
  • Secure and lock the donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Pass a background check, including criminal history and sex offender registry.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with management, colleagues, customers, and donors.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects weighing up to 75lbs.
  • Perform various repetitive motion tasks.
  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Schedule

Our stores operate 7 days a week. Work schedules are determined by management, and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage. Full-time associates may be scheduled to work any full-time shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Salvation Army will comply with all governmental orders and contractual obligations relative to COVID-19 safety measures, including mandatory vaccination of staff, if required.

The Salvation Army will consider requests for exemptions from any such requirements on either religious or medical grounds when available.
