Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerial Laborer to join our team at Ervin Cable. As an Aerial Laborer, you will play a critical role in supporting our construction and engineering teams by providing labor assistance, operating equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist construction and engineering teams with labor-intensive tasks, including cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
  • Operate aerial lift devices, lashers, and other equipment as required.
  • Perform traffic control duties as directed by the crew leader.
  • Assist with the completion of daily production reports to document work performed.
  • Use hand tools, ladders, and equipment to assist in the completion of assigned projects.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Previous work-related experience in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment, including wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, forklifts, and saws.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
  • Ability to work safely, with or without supervision.
  • Ability to work standing, at shoulder height, and overhead for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate lasher and other cable placement equipment.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to fully understand and operate equipment, including aerial lift devices, lashers, and hand tools.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform the above tasks for at least 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold temperatures, inclement weather, and adverse driving conditions.
  • Ability to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, and a hard hat.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds as needed, with or without assistance.
