About Caminos Program

Caminos is a program provided by the Board of Child Care that offers safe and secure placement options for children who have recently migrated to the United States. These young individuals are seeking opportunities for reunification with family, education, and legal immigration cases.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Therapist to deliver culturally competent services to recently migrated youth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mental health assessments, screening for human trafficking concerns, crisis intervention, and support services. Additionally, the Therapist will support the delivery of Board of Child Care's trauma responsive model by collaborating with the Post Release Services case management team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver culturally competent services to recently migrated youth, including mental health assessments and screening for human trafficking concerns
  • Provide crisis intervention and support services to youth and their caregivers
  • Support the delivery of Board of Child Care's trauma responsive model by collaborating with the Post Release Services case management team
  • Connect youth and their caregivers to formal and informal resources in their community
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or other relevant behavioral science
  • Current LGSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, LCPC, LGMFT, LCMFT, or eligible for licensure at the time of application
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (oral and written)
