Endpoint Deployment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Endpoint Deployment Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with Windows deployment tools, specifically Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), SCCM, and SysPrep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Windows Imaging: Create, maintain, and deploy custom Windows images (WIM) using industry-standard tools like MDT, WDS, or SCCM.
  • SysPrep Configuration: Perform and manage SysPrep processes to prepare Windows operating systems for deployment on multiple devices.
  • Endpoint Deployment: Implement and oversee automated Windows deployment processes, ensuring a consistent and error-free setup across the organization.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure that endpoints are integrated seamlessly into the company's network and security environment.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Level 2/3 support for issues related to Windows deployment, imaging, and endpoint configurations.
  • Patch Management: Work with the IT team to ensure that endpoint devices receive regular updates and patches in accordance with company policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update technical documentation for deployment processes, imaging standards, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts to enhance and streamline deployment workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Windows imaging, deployment, and management.
  • Expertise in using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), SCCM, and SysPrep.
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and endpoint management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Batch) for automating deployment tasks.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and network configuration in a Windows environment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Certifications: Microsoft certifications like MCSA or MD100/MD-101 (Windows Client) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Intune and Autopilot for modern Windows deployments.
  • Knowledge of virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, HyperV) and how they relate to endpoint management.
  • Familiarity with Zero Touch Deployment methods.
  • Experience with mobile device management (MDM).
