Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team at Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care. As a CHHA, you will provide personal care services to patients in their homes, promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients with prescribed exercises and activities, as instructed by a nurse or therapist.
  • Perform homemaking and other environmental services, as assigned.
  • Observe, report, and document any changes in patient status, and follow specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse.
  • Perform and record simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state certification (or registration) as a home health aide (CHHA) and a nurse assistant (CNA).
  • CHHA experience within the last two years, or completion of another training and competency program.
  • Current CPR certification.
