Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all departmental functions during their shift. Collaborating with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in line with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's mission and values to ensure exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating patient admissions and discharges to maintain efficient operations and high-quality care.
  • Participating in ongoing evaluations of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
  • Working with experts and managers to foster teamwork that enhances service and outcomes.
  • Embracing a patient-first approach and engaging in service recovery as needed.
  • Supporting facility engagement initiatives through nursing strategies and employee interactions.
  • Contributing to staff recruitment, training, and development processes.
  • Managing staff schedules and labor in accordance with patient care needs.
  • Assisting with inventory management and supply control.

Qualifications Required:

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in Alaska.
  • At least six months of clinical experience in the relevant specialty, with a minimum of one year in critical care.
  • CPAN certification preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications from recognized organizations.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is a plus.
