Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in utilizing high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to aid in medical diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a physician, utilize ultrasound imaging and related data to aid in medical diagnosis.
  • Acquire and maintain specialized technical skills and medical knowledge to provide quality patient care, including the injection of contrast media when necessary.
  • Produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited educational program for Diagnostic Sonography or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Registry preferred, or Registry eligible within 1 year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to prepare and administer IV contrast.
  • Ability to recognize abnormal structures and correlate this information into a useful study.
  • Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary and develop new techniques.
  • Ability to utilize ancillary devices, such as selected transducers.
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
Compensation and Benefits

Rutland Regional Medical Center offers a competitive salary range of $33.32 - $49.27 per hour, with a sign-on bonus negotiable.
