ROLE SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Ultrasound Imaging Professional is tasked with performing ultrasound examinations and treatments in accordance with established protocols and standards. This position demands a proactive approach and the capability to operate autonomously in a dynamic healthcare setting.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Adhering to infection control measures and safety protocols
- Observing safety guidelines consistently
- Engaging in patient care planning and evaluations
- Conducting interviews with patients or their relatives as necessary
- Executing ultrasound assessments on patients
- Collaborating with other departments for exam coordination
- Advising on equipment and supply requirements
- Upholding a hygienic and secure environment for patient well-being
- Preparing patients adequately for examinations
- Coordinating with external facilities for imaging or reports
- Assisting in the dissemination of radiology findings
- Serving as a mentor for new staff members
- Contributing to patient education initiatives
- Engaging in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, along with completion of an accredited ultrasound/radiological technology program
- Graduation from an accredited Radiological and/or Ultrasound Technology Program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification
- Fulfillment of licensure criteria
- Preferred experience of six months to one year in healthcare or ultrasound settings
