Labor and Delivery Nurse

Baptist Health is a leading healthcare provider in central Alabama, serving nearly 60 percent of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore counties. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. This position requires a strong nursing background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities- Provide general supervision and coordination of nursing personnel on shift, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care.
- Utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.
- Collaborate with Physicians and other healthcare clinicians in the planning and implementation of patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care, including vital signs, medications, and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Active RN licensure required.
- BLS certification required.
- Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending on the area assigned.
- Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
