About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Alternatives, Inc. in Jackson, NJ. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of adults with developmental disabilities.

As a Direct Support Professional, your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support and care to our clients, enabling them to live their best lives as independently as possible. This includes assisting with activities of daily living such as administering medication, cooking meals, personal hygiene, and transportation to medical appointments.

You will also be responsible for implementing individual behavioral plans, using effective teaching and mentoring techniques to help our clients achieve their goals. Based on each individual's preferences and behavioral plans, you will encourage their interests and facilitate community outings and recreational activities.
