We are seeking a highly skilled SoC Memory Performance Architect to join our Platform Architecture team at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative memory controller solutions that drive the architecture of our future System-on-Chips (SoC).
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement high-performance memory controller architectures for our next-generation SoC.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize memory subsystems for our AR/VR and Cellular/5G applications.
- Design and develop performance modeling and simulation tools to evaluate and compare different architectural design alternatives.
- Work with our design and software teams to develop and implement architectural specification documents.
- Conduct thorough analysis and validation of measured and simulated results to ensure optimal performance and power efficiency.
- Develop and maintain our modeling platform by creating APIs, tools, and standard examples that can be used throughout the company.
- Analyze and present results to enable data-driven architecture and design decisions.
- Strong knowledge of cache management and memory controller technologies for DRAM.
- Excellent C/C++/scripting coding, debug, and testing skills.
- Prior experience in writing cache and memory simulators using C++ is a plus.
- Papers published in top computer architecture conferences/journals and filed patents related to computer architecture.
- Expertise in cooperative code development using revision control systems like GIT.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
