Staff Manufacturing Engineer Job Summary:
We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Palmdale, CA. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering Team, you'll be responsible for providing guidance to engineering teams on design concepts to ensure the best manufacturing techniques are used to meet engineering design requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise to engineering teams on manufacturing processes and techniques
- Participate in tool design reviews to ensure tools are feasible and reduce build times and program costs
- Define sequence of operations for product builds and investigate and initiate corrective actions and improvements
- Provide liaison support for engineering definition to influence low production costs for integrated assembly related to electrical, hydraulics, fuels, fluids, and propulsion systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree with 12 or more years of experience in engineering, production assembly/fabrication, including composites, metallic, coatings application, and/or production manufacturing operations; OR Master's of Science Degree with 10 or more years of experience in engineering, production assembly/fabrication, including composites, metallic, coatings application, and/or production manufacturing operations; OR PhD with 9 or more years of experience in engineering, production assembly/fabrication, including composites, metallic, coatings application, and/or production manufacturing operations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time
- Proficient reviewing and interpreting Blueprints and 3-D models (CATIA, Solidworks, AutoCAD, NX, or similar program)
- Ability to develop/lead projects; interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors
- Proficient knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Experience providing innovative techniques focused on improving product designs and tooling assemblies or equipment
- Ability to work 1st shift '5am-3:30pm' or 2nd shift '4:12pm-2:42am' and any work schedule (times may vary)
- Ability to travel at least 10%

Salary Range: $149,900 - $224,900
