Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise subcontractor operations and manage assigned personnel.
  • Evaluate subcontractor progress and negotiate schedule adjustments as necessary.
  • Update and modify the 4-week project schedule to reflect changes while maintaining workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control and assurance standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with subcontractors, the superintendent, and project managers through various channels.
  • Participate in weekly meetings, documenting and distributing minutes.
  • Contribute valuable insights to the RFI and Change Order processes.
  • Compile daily reports for subcontractors under supervision, addressing any issues encountered.
  • Review compliance with Schedule D for all supervised subcontractors.
  • Coordinate informal pre-work meetings and formal inspections with building inspectors.
  • Conduct daily site walks to fulfill assigned tasks from the superintendent.
  • Promote job safety and maintain site cleanliness and organization.
  • Document safety observations, inspections, and hazards to meet established quotas.
  • Assist in securing the job site at the beginning and end of each workday.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in leading multi-family housing construction projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various trades, including MEP, structural details, and sitework/utilities.
  • Ability to interpret project plans and specifications, conducting thorough reviews.
  • Strong understanding of construction operations and processes.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience with a focus on coaching and training team members.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification is required.
  • Familiarity with local safety, quality, and health regulations for construction sites.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
