As a Law Enforcement Officer, your primary responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, upholding laws, responding to various calls, investigating incidents, and ensuring safety at community events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deterring criminal activity and enforcing regulations
- Responding to both urgent and routine calls
- Conducting thorough investigations and making arrests when necessary
- Managing traffic flow and issuing citations
- Documenting incidents and providing testimony in legal proceedings
- Engaging in required training and assessments
- Age requirement: 21 to 51 years
- Completion of high school or equivalent
- Possession of a valid Texas driver's license
- U.S. citizenship
- Demonstrated good moral character
- Proficiency in English
- Submission of background information
- Initial interview
- Written assessment
- Physical fitness evaluation
- Comprehensive background check
- Panel interview
- Polygraph test
- Final interview with the Chief
