Mammography Imaging Specialist

Seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast stereotactic biopsies, and needle localizations.
Responsibilities- Perform mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam process.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.
- Stay current with continuing education and professional development requirements.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) with a current Kansas Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) certifications from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Image Wisley Pledge certification from the American College of Radiology (ACR).
- 3D Tomosynthesis training and proficiency in several computer-based software programs.
This is a part-time position at the Olathe Health Pavilion. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
