Position Overview

We are actively seeking a qualified Geotechnical Engineer, preferably with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, to contribute to a diverse range of geotechnical, testing, and monitoring projects. The successful candidate will engage in projects primarily situated in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geotechnical evaluations based on site-specific conditions to support engineering designs.
  • Analyze and interpret data along with testing outcomes.
  • Assess laboratory and field data for inclusion in comprehensive reports.
  • Draft field reports, internal communications, and detailed engineering documentation.
  • Assist the Geotechnical Group and collaborate with other departments as necessary.
  • Prepare technical proposals, cost assessments, project plans, specifications, and reports, including routine correspondence.
  • Adhere to company and site safety protocols, ensuring all necessary permits are secured.
  • Engage with vendors, research relevant literature and regulatory guidelines, and develop designs.
  • Support field instrumentation and monitoring efforts.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships while actively participating in professional organizations related to the industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is mandatory.
  • Proactive and motivated individual dedicated to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel and work temporarily in various locations.
  • Physical capabilities may include lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating rugged terrain.
  • Must fulfill pre-employment criteria.
