Geotechnical Project Engineer

We are actively seeking a qualified Geotechnical Engineer, preferably with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, to contribute to a diverse range of geotechnical, testing, and monitoring projects. The successful candidate will engage in projects primarily situated in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical evaluations based on site-specific conditions to support engineering designs.
- Analyze and interpret data along with testing outcomes.
- Assess laboratory and field data for inclusion in comprehensive reports.
- Draft field reports, internal communications, and detailed engineering documentation.
- Assist the Geotechnical Group and collaborate with other departments as necessary.
- Prepare technical proposals, cost assessments, project plans, specifications, and reports, including routine correspondence.
- Adhere to company and site safety protocols, ensuring all necessary permits are secured.
- Engage with vendors, research relevant literature and regulatory guidelines, and develop designs.
- Support field instrumentation and monitoring efforts.
- Foster and maintain client relationships while actively participating in professional organizations related to the industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is mandatory.
- Proactive and motivated individual dedicated to delivering exceptional client service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel and work temporarily in various locations.
- Physical capabilities may include lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating rugged terrain.
- Must fulfill pre-employment criteria.
