We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and participating in projects that drive process improvements, equipment design, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and participate in manufacturing engineering projects to improve process efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design, specify, and implement new equipment and automation systems.
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce scrap, increase run rates, and improve overall product performance.
- Support the transfer of new technologies and materials from development to production.
- Develop and maintain production and maintenance documentation, including MI's, SOP's, PM's, and calibration.
- Participate in continuous improvement team activities and apply DMAIC/Six Sigma methodology to drive process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and equipment design.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, polymers, and extrusion processes.
- Experience with computer modeling and analysis software packages.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
