Electromechanical Assembler

We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Assembler to join our team at Yoh. As an Electromechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment.

• Assemble electromechanical prototype products in an engineering lab environment.
• Meet with project stakeholders on a regular basis to understand daily tasks in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Follow verbal and written process steps for assembling prototype products.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to develop best assembly practices for new products.
• Present proposals for assembly process changes that help reduce product cost and assembly time.
• Redline assembly procedures and Bill of Materials based on findings.
• Assist manufacturing engineers with developing work cells.

• 5+ years of experience in electronics and/or electromechanical work.
• Associate degree or higher in manufacturing or mechanical engineering (a plus).
• Experience with various hand tools, screwdrivers, torque drivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
• Experience with soldering.
• PCBA through-hole and SMT certifications and experience (a plus).
• Fabrication skills such as using a hand drill or drill press (a plus).
• Familiarity with production and product lean principles (a plus).
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
