This position supports thermal insulation products engineers in the design, fabrication, packaging, inventory, and integration of Space Vehicle MLI. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual able to work independently or in small teams to fabricate MLI products from 2D design templates and install MLI products onto space flight hardware at the unit, subsystem, and system levels per installation drawings and procedures. The individual must be able to follow standard MLI processes and maintain necessary certifications. This role may require performing other duties as assigned. The candidate must be willing to work any shift and extended work weeks. Some travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate MLI products from 2D design templates
Install MLI products onto space flight hardware
Follow standard MLI processes and maintain necessary certifications
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years additional education and/or related experience
Valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property
Ability to work any shift and extended work weeks
