**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a talented individual to fill a full-time Academic Plastic Surgeon position with a focus on Microsurgery and Breast Reconstruction. The successful candidate will be appointed at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Clinical X, In-Residence or HSCP series, depending on their qualifications and experience.
**Responsibilities:**
The selected candidate will be expected to engage in teaching, research, service, and clinical work. They will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new surgical techniques, participate in basic science and translational research trials, and collaborate with colleagues on various projects.
- Provide exceptional patient care, including microsurgical procedures and breast reconstruction surgeries
- Develop and implement new surgical techniques and protocols
- Participate in research studies and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in plastic and reconstructive surgery
- Teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery
**Qualifications:**
To be considered for this position, candidates must have an M.D. degree, be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery, and demonstrate a commitment to research activity. A fellowship in Microsurgery is preferred, and a California Medical License must be obtained prior to the start date.
