Tire Processing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Tire Processing Technician to join our team at Reworld. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various mechanical, maintenance, and repair work on rotating machinery and equipment used for accepting and processing waste and recyclables.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tire repair and maintenance, as well as experience working with rolling stock and facility machinery. You will be required to inspect, adjust, repair, or modify the mechanics of various rolling stock and facility machinery, including wheel loaders, dozers, yard tractors, trucks, walking floor trailers, intermodal containers, and compactors.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting and maintaining rotating machinery and equipment
  • Inspecting and adjusting the mechanical alignment, balance, level, and general condition of rotating equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks by inspecting rims and tires daily
  • Using various shop equipment in the performance of assigned tasks
  • Reading and interpreting measuring tools, graphs, and technical manuals
  • FOLLOWING ALL HEALTH AND SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS MANDATED BY LAW AND PER THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Requirements for this position include a High School Diploma or GED, maintenance mechanic school/Diesel school preferred, Driver's license required, CDL Class A or B a plus, Minimum 1 year experience as Tire Tech or mechanic, Must have thorough knowledge and experience with but not limited to tire repair, maintenance, rim maintenance/repair/inspection, etc., Must be able to work independently and with others, Must support teamwork by participating, cooperating, and communicating with co-workers, Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers by providing accurate, meaningful, courteous and timely responses to their questions or concerns.

The expected hourly pay rate for this position is $22.00. This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary figure will take into account various factors, including experience, ability, and location.
