Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of care.

Responsibilities
  • Formulate a plan of care, revise the plan based on the patient's response to treatment, and regularly evaluate the plan for effectiveness
  • Conduct cardiac monitoring and identify dysrhythmias, treating appropriately
  • Consult and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and revise the plan of care to meet the patient's needs and goals
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
  • Delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
  • Provide education materials to patients and families on care and treatments
  • Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team
  • Deliver competent care and ensure a safe and comforting environment, resulting in high patient satisfaction
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
