Land Surveying Team Leader

Key Responsibilities


• Conduct construction layouts, topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys with a small crew


• Utilize knowledge and experience to mentor and direct crew members


• Operate standard surveying instruments, robotics, and GPS technology

Essential Skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team


• Proficient in mathematics


• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications


• High School Diploma or equivalent GED


• 1-2 years of experience in land surveying


• 1-2 years of experience in leading a field crew


• Basic familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous

Additional Requirements

A valid Driver's License in good standing is required, demonstrating safe driving practices and eligibility for company insurance.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time role with some flexibility in hours; however, availability during standard working hours is expected. Additional hours may be required based on workload demands.

Physical Requirements

This position involves a mix of fieldwork, travel, and desk work. The employee must be capable of driving, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, typing, talking, hearing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. The role may also require traversing uneven terrain, entering various structures, using ladders, and working in diverse weather conditions.

Travel Requirements

Regular travel is an integral part of the Survey Crew Chief position.
