About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation: Prepare the operating room, including the sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions.
  • Instrumentation and Supply Management: Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon and prepare and manage surgical equipment.
  • Sterile Field Management: Simultaneously manage the sterile field and specimens.
  • Count and Verification: Perform a count of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects.
Requirements
  • Certification: Certified as a Surgical Technologist after successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited program or other programmatically-accredited surgical technology program.
  • Licensure: Must pass the national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Work Schedule
  • Shifts: Days (7A-7P) - 3X12's
  • Call: 1 weekend 24 call per month
