POSITION SUMMARY:
The role involves executing a variety of tasks related to the upkeep, repair, setup, and adjustments of specialized machinery and equipment used in strip preparation and blade grinding. You will adhere to predictive maintenance strategies to support our machine reliability objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Diagnose equipment issues and assess the necessary repairs.
2. Disassemble units, repair or replace worn or defective components, reassemble, and fine-tune all machinery.
3. Utilize specialized tools such as height gauges and dial indicators to ensure precision in measurements and tolerances.
4. Demonstrate a solid understanding of machine operation and setup, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance and quality.
5. Conduct trial runs on machinery and operate any equipment in the department as required.
6. Follow a predetermined predictive maintenance schedule and report any irregularities to management.
7. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and collaborate with the Central Tool Room and engineering teams as needed.
8. Handle materials weighing up to 90 lbs. with assistance and 35 lbs. independently, while working in various environments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A High School Diploma or GED is required, with technical training preferred.
SALARY RANGE:
Starting from $25.26 per hour, commensurate with experience.
