Accounts Payable Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Dowagiac, MI. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of invoices and payments.

About the Opportunity:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and experience working with ERP systems. They will be responsible for data entry, performing three-way matches, coding invoices in the General Ledger, and communicating with vendors regarding account inquiries.

Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently using accounting software.
  • Assist with preparing weekly check runs and ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Code invoices in the General Ledger to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve any account-related issues.
  • Participate in additional accounting projects as needed to support the business.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A degree in Accounting or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in an ERP environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of major ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.

What We Offer:
We offer a competitive annual salary range of $41,000-$43,680, depending on experience. This is a full-time, onsite position in Dowagiac, MI, providing an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a supportive and dynamic team environment.
