Job Title: Front End UI Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End UI Development Engineer to join our dynamic team at Resource Informatics Group. As a key member of our Commercial Solutions organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative web applications that meet the needs of our diverse global customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop performant, scalable, and secure web applications using modern single-page application frameworks.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction on systems and web application architecture and system design.
  • Guide and coach less experienced engineers to ensure the highest quality of code and adherence to coding standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous integration and delivery, automation, and minimizing blast radius.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to mitigate risk and resolve dependencies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience building externally facing web applications utilizing modern single-page application frameworks, with Angular and React JS experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of JavaScript and its benefits and quirks.
  • Experience building ADA and WCAG compliant web applications.
  • Successful design and development of cloud-ready REST APIs utilizing industry best practices.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud Architecture and its benefits and quirks.
  • Experience with messaging frameworks and event-based architecture.
  • Understanding of multi-tier web development, including server-side technologies and databases.
  • Knowledge of web application optimizations, such as progressive web apps, web workers, browser repaints and reflows, performance and memory optimizations, debugging memory leaks, caching, and flame graphs.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization workflows using concepts like JWT.
  • Proficiency in Quality engineering and experience working with Quality leads to define processes and technologies.
  • Passion for improving code quality using approaches such as unit and end-to-end testing.
  • Deep knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery and toolsets that provide this ability.
  • Understanding of agile principles and methodologies and experience implementing and adapting them to fit the team's needs.
  • Experience with Git-based source control systems.
