Responsibilities
  • Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents to meet court specifications, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Court Filings: Electronically file documents via PACER and State Court e-filing systems, guaranteeing timely submissions.
  • Case Management: Maintain pleading files in all assigned matters, ensuring up-to-date information and efficient case progression.
  • Time Management: Enter time diaries in DTE, accurately recording hours worked and enhancing productivity.
  • Pre-Trial Preparations: Prepare binders, trial notebooks, exhibits, etc. for hearings and trials, facilitating effective communication and presentation.
  • Loan Transactions: Assist with loan transactions and closings, providing critical support during key phases of cases.
  • Service of Process: Prepare documents for service of process as required, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Compile and prepare reports and presentations, effectively communicating case progress and recommendations.
  • Document Review: Participate in document review projects as assigned, contributing to case resolution and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal or paralegal assistant, with expertise in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, or real estate.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple cases simultaneously.
