We're seeking a skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team at LaborOne Staffing. With experience in shipyard work, you'll play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of piping systems on vessels.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipefitting, with proficiency in reading blueprints, using hand tools and shop machines, and operating equipment to cut and thread pipe and pipe fittings.
As a Pipefitter Specialist, you'll be responsible for laying out, installing, and maintaining vessels' piping systems, including heat and power, hot water, hydraulic, air pressure, and oil lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay out and install piping systems according to blueprints and specifications
- Operate shop machines to cut and thread pipe and pipe fittings
- Connect pipes to fixtures and test systems for leaks
- Maintain and repair existing piping systems as needed
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in pipefitting or a related field
- Strong knowledge of pipefitting principles and practices
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications
- Proficiency in operating shop machines and equipment
Salary Range
$60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience
